Live Music - Performance Band

About us

Empathy is key

What do you get when you combine a Gen X’er, two Millennials and two Gen Z’ers? You get original music that sounds like this! Drawing our influences from artists like Van Halen, Santana, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Randy Rogers, Luke Combs,The Eagles, The Cult, Chris Stapleton, John Mayer, Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson, we mix it all together and come out with Texas Country with a little bite to it!

Every once in a while, I get the the question of, why do you play music? And my answer has remained the same. Music is a heavy passion for me. It allows me the chance to release what is in my mind. And the greatest blessing was to meet like minded people and start a band with them. I have dreamed of writing songs and hearing them on the radio. Growing up listening to country music come from the kitchen on the weekends, really attached artists like George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Pride and Garth Brooks to what I see Country Music as.

Music is so much more than entertainment but also a reflection of our culture and who we are. Being able to fulfill this part of society I feel is very important as far as continuing to bring people together in a growing digital world. As musicians we are not only entertainers but messengers. In the future I see myself writing songs and striving to positively impact our community.

The most important thing to me is my wife, Shanon. But another highly significant thing in my life is music. My parents got me into piano lessons when I was eight years old, and I quickly began playing on stage with the church praise band. Now I am a Worship/Choir director, Music instructor, and proud member of Miller Creek Crowd. Country music is in my bones, but one of the things I love about our band our eclectic background and set lists. My goals for the future are to tour the world with music, continue in ministry, and inspire the next generation of musicians.

What I believe is important to me would be keeping to your roots and history with a little modern twist. I love covering songs that everyone knows, but adding some “Zach” into it just really makes it fun. Finding new sounds, songs and even equipment really fires me up as a musician, to try and find new things and paths to get where I want my music to go. I come from a very musical past, thanks to my mother, where I don’t just cling to one type or genre of music. Although, I have my sound, doing other songs out of my stereotypical arena really makes me happy and enjoy what I do. One of my goals with music would be to finally have roadies to set my stuff up so I don’t have to, lol! Also I would love to make music full time and just live the dream!

When you ask some people, “Who are you or what are you?“ Many people will respond with what ever their profession is. “I’m a lawyer, I’m a doctor, I’m a police officer, I’m a bookkeeper, etc…. I have always tried to not let my profession dictate who I was as a person. I’ve worked as a gas station attendant, bagger, boat crewman, aviation electrician, recruiter, deputy sheriff, general electrician, water operator and construction project manager, but that’s just what I did, it wasn’t who I was. So when people ask me, “Who are you or what are you?” I always respond, “I am a musician.” I’ve been a musician since I was a child, starting with that plastic flute looking thing that everybody starts on when they’re in elementary. I graduated to a violin by Jr. High, then eventually traded in that four string for a six string. I remember the moment it happened clear as it was yesterday. I remember hopping and my buddy Rick’s 1978 Blue single cab Ford Ranger. We were screaming down one of the side streets doing 80, and he popped in Van Halen‘s cassette, and Running with the Devil began filling the entire cab with this sonic wave of pure California hard rock energy, blasting out of his 500 W sound system. The very next day I went with my grandmother to the local music store and picked out my very first guitar, which she financed for me, for which I am pretty sure I still owe her for to this day.
